Peanut Butter really IS good for you!

It’s a great source of protein, rich in fiber,  rich in potassium, an energy booster, aids in weight loss, heart friendly, and is packed with nutrients.

Did you know the American Academy of Pediatrics lists it as a food to offer fussy eaters! Some kids will actually eat foods they wouldn’t normally try if it has some peanut butter spread on it.

But all that aside, it’s really an inexpensive way to make some super tasty treats for kids of all ages!

Here’s an easy recipe that’s delighted my family for years:

Peanut Butter Balls

1 Cup Icing Sugar

2 Tbls. Melted Butter

1 Cup Peanut Butter

1 ½ Cup Rice Krispies

1 ½ Cup Chocolate Chips

Mix peanut butter and melted butter, add icing sugar and Rice Krispies until combined.

Form into balls, place on waxed paper on cookie sheet, chill in the refrigerator.

Melt chocolate chips in Microwave.

Place toothpick in each peanut butter ball, dip in chocolate,  and roll until coated.

Place on waxed paper, cookie sheet.

Place in freezer until set.

Best to store in freezer.
